The past week has brought back the focus on mental health in India. As something that still somehow ends up having to entail an opinion from everyone and yet is such a taboo to talk about, it has been a difficult time for anyone dealing with mental health on a personal level. Be it yourself or a close friend/partner/family member going through it, it’s never easy.
During my personal journey with mental health, two things have helped me immensely in not slipping down that black hole, therapy, and having a supportive community around. It’s absolutely normal to seek help, and should never be seen as a sign of weakness. For me, this space has been about growing a community, and while reading all the feedback from last week, gave me the push to start the conversation I’ve been wanting to start with you all here.
On Monday evenings, let’s talk about things that matter to us. I’d love for you to share questions/thought points we could all talk about. I am going to send out an email at 8 PM on Monday, and promise to stick around for at least an hour, to be an unbiased listening ear, and share my thoughts. You can reply to this email directly with your questions or discussion themes or mail them across to goodstuffjournal@gmail.com
You matter,

In the band, Cut Copy’s own words, “Love is All We Share is a song we made using only a handful of sounds, hoping to create an intimate and unworldly atmosphere. It was written a year ago about the anxieties of imagined future times, as technology becomes more all-consuming. But in light of recent events, the song took on an eerie significance. Now, with our immediate future uncertain and people the world over self-isolating, ‘love’ more than ever, feels like one of the best things we can share.”
Love is all we share, indeed :)
